A kid-friendly Feast of Tabernacles where families worship, play, learn, and make memories that last a lifetime.
The Feast of Tabernacles is a family celebration at its heart. When YHWH commanded Israel to rejoice for seven days, He did not say "drop the kids off at childcare" — He said bring your sons, your daughters, your servants, the Levite, the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow. Everyone together.
That is exactly how we celebrate. Children are not an afterthought here — they are woven into every part of the experience. They worship alongside their parents, help build the family sukkah, splash in the river with new friends, listen to Bible stories around the campfire, and fall asleep under the stars with the sound of praise still ringing in their ears.
Parents consistently tell us that this is the highlight of their family's year. Not because of the activities (though there are plenty) — but because for 10 days, the whole family is unplugged, outdoors, grounded in Scripture, and surrounded by a community that shares their values.
"And you shall rejoice in your feast — you, your son and your daughter, your male servant and your female servant, the Levite, the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow who are within your gates."
— Deuteronomy 16:14
Every day is packed with age-appropriate fun that teaches, inspires, and builds lasting friendships.

Hands-on crafts tied to the feast — building miniature sukkahs, creating lulav bundles, painting, and seasonal art projects that kids take home as keepsakes.

Age-appropriate Torah teachings that bring the stories to life — the Exodus, dwelling in the wilderness, the meaning of Sukkot, and the promises of YHWH.

Kids love the praise sessions — dancing with flags, clapping, singing along, and learning Hebrew worship songs that they will sing all year long.

Splashing in the shallows, tubing the gentle current, catching crawdads, skipping rocks — the South Harpeth River is a natural playground that kids never want to leave.

Flag football, volleyball, gaga ball, relay races, human pyramids, and pickup games that run from morning to sundown across 5 acres of open fields.

Every evening, kids gather around the fire for s'mores, hot chocolate, silly songs, and stories. These campfire nights become the memories they talk about all year long.

Kids help build and decorate the family sukkah — weaving branches, hanging lights, adding decorations, and learning why YHWH commanded us to dwell in booths.

The retreat's fall festival area features a corn maze, pumpkin activities, and autumn fun that kids (and adults) absolutely love.

A full playground on site, plus acres of room to run, climb, explore, and just be kids in a safe, supervised outdoor environment.
As parents, we understand that safety is your top priority. This gathering is a place where kids can run free, explore, and be kids — because the entire community looks out for every child. Here is what you need to know:
Everyone at the Feast is part of the family. Adults naturally keep an eye on all the kids — not just their own. It truly takes a village.
South Harpeth River Retreat is a gated, private 70-acre property. No public access during our gathering. Your family has room to spread out in a secure setting.
Every message, activity, and program is family-appropriate. No content you would not want your children to hear. Torah-based values throughout the week.
Kids naturally unplug from screens during the Feast. Between the river, the games, the campfires, and new friendships, they will not miss their devices for a second.
"My kids count down the days until Sukkot every year. The friendships they have made at the Feast are deeper than anything at school or church. They ask all year long, 'How many more days until the Feast?'"
— Mom of Three, North Carolina
"We homeschool and this is our field trip of the year. My children learn more about Scripture, community, and living out their faith during Sukkot than they do in months of regular study. They built their own sukkah this year and I cried watching them."
— Homeschool Family, Alabama
"As a single dad, I was nervous about bringing my kids to a gathering where I did not know anyone. Within an hour, my boys had found their tribe and I had found mine. The Harris family treated us like we had been coming for years. We will be back every year."
— Single Dad, Tennessee
Every parent wants their children to have an authentic, joy-filled relationship with their Creator. The Feast of Tabernacles is one of the most powerful ways to make that happen — because children do not just hear about faith at the Feast. They live it.
They build a sukkah with their own hands and learn why YHWH told Israel to dwell in booths. They stand in the river for a baptism and watch someone's life change. They sit on their father's lap at the campfire and hear a testimony that gives them goosebumps. They dance in the barn with their arms raised, singing praises they barely knew the words to that morning. They fall asleep in a tent, exhausted and happy, knowing that this is what it means to be part of YHWH's family.
These are the moments that form the foundation of a lifelong faith. And they happen here, every single year.
